About Us
Welcome to Mountain Trauma First Aid Training.
Mountain Trauma First Aid Training are committed to supplying your workplace and outdoor first aid qualification needs. Courses are tailored to each client group ranging from very basic first aid to advanced techniques and care.
Our past clients have included The Scouts Association, outdoor centres, Mountain Rescue teams, higher education students, Duke of Edinburgh teams, teachers and people with an enthusiasm for the outdoors.
Staff
Nick Wright - Set up Mountain Trauma First Aid Training in 2006. He has extensive experience of working with children and adults in schools and outdoor centres. Nick is a member of a busy Lake District Mountain Rescue team and holds the Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), MRC Casualty Care and First Aid Trainer and Assesors (AED) certificates.
Nicola Wells - ( BA, PGCE) Nicola is a primary school teacher and holds the First Aid Trainers and Assessors qualification. In her spare time Nicola enjoys walking and climbing in the mountains.
Dr Margaret Beazley - (Dip Mountain Medicine, MBchB, MRCGP, GP trainer) Maggie is a GP in Carlisle and has also been lead medic on several expeditions, including research expeditions to Nepal, Chile, Bolivia and the Alps. Maggie teaches on the Expedition Emergency Care course.
All staff have an enhanced CRB disclosure.
Other courses include Navigation and GPS introductory lessons, outdoor instruction and first aid scenario days.
All courses are validated and approved by Health and Safety Executive registered company (21/06) First Aid Works. BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
