Staff

We employ a range of clinicians and non-clinicians to deliver our services.  Our staff are experts in their field and have a passion for what they do, which we believe is the backbone to our success.  Our organisation comprises of around 60 members of staff based throughout the UK.  You can find details of some of our key staff below.

 

Nick Wright - Managing Director

MCPara, PgC, DipHE, BSc (Hons)

 

Nick established Mountain Trauma Rescue Services in 2006.  Nick is a Paramedic and has a diverse background in the delivery of medical education, from basic courses to higher education courses.  He has an active role in Mountain Rescue and specialises in remote healthcare and prehospital trauma.  Nick holds several instructor qualifications as well as the PgC in Academic Practice.

 

 

 

 

 

Dr Will Jones - Medical Advisor

MBChB, FRCA, DMM (UIAA)

Will is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He holds the Diploma in Mountain Medicine (UIAA). He is an Instructor for Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support – Instructors Course, Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support, Training in Emergency Airway Management and EMS – Difficult Airway Course. He is also a Trainer for the Medical Emergency Response Incident Teams.  Will was a co-author in Workforce Planning in UK Mountain Rescue, published in Wilderness & Environmental Medicine (March 2014).  Will is actively involved in the outdoors and is a keen skier, climber and more recently ultra marathon runner.

 

 

Matt Butler - Operations Assistant

Matt assists Nick on the day-to-day running of the organisation.  As well as taking on an administrative role Matt is also a mountain rescue team member and works operationally at our events.  Away from the office Matt enjoys climbing.
