This popular course suits outdoor enthusiasts and established or aspirant mountain leaders. This course validates National Governing Body awards such as SPA and ML. Two days of instruction that includes outdoor practical scenarios and assessment. Upon successful completion candidates will be certificated for three years in candidates will be certified for three years in Mountain First Aid. Download the syllabus here.
This four day intensive course is designed for those who work in remote areas and require advanced medical skills. It teaches advanced airway management, oxygen therapy, defibrillation, vehicle extrication and much more. The Mountain First Aid course or equivilant is a pre-requisite for this programme.
This course is intended for the outdoor professional and those who will be required to carry out rescues in a Swiftwater & flood environment – Outdoor Instructors, Emergency Services personnel, Mountain Rescue Teams etc. The course is based on the philosophy of self-protection and application simple of low to high risk solutions.
We are offering accelerated 3-day programmes tailored to your requirements, run either in the Lake District or in your home area. The 3-day format keeps costs down over the standard 4 day programme. Full safety equipment is provided including rescue vests and dry suits.
